Lori Gossard, DVM
HSVMA NORTH DAKOA STATE REPRESENTATIVE

Dr. Lori Gossard is an Iowa native, originally from Garwin. She is a 1994 graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  She attended Northeast Missouri State University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science Studies and Equine Studies.  Prior to becoming a veterinarian Dr. Gossard worked for 14 years as a licensed veterinary technician.

After graduating ISU, Dr. Gossard moved to Grand Forks. In her early years of practice she worked in a mixed-animal clinic. Then in 1998 she ventured off to successfully open her own practice—All Pets Hospital Inc.—and it is still running strong!

Dr. Gossard has always had a passion for animals and began giving back by working for her local Humane Society. This work sparked a desire to do even more which has led her to obtain additional training in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgery at the Human Alliance in Ashville, North Carolina, and to work closely with local rescue agencies all over the Midwest.

Dr. Gossard is an active member of the AVMA, NDVMA, MVMA, HSVMA, and she sits on the board of a non-profit organization, Board of Sovereign Nations Veterinary, that takes actions to help indigenous peoples honor the bonds between animals and humans. She spends her free time volunteering for spay/neuter clinics around the world, and providing excellent veterinary medical care to sled dogs during sporting events. Dr. Gossard strives to be a local veterinary voice for farmers and for animal welfare and she supports stronger laws against animal cruelty in North Dakota.
