Join us April 11th for a presentation by Dr. Ilona Rodan on how to detect, prevent and treat inter-cat conflict. Attendees will learn about normal feline social behavior and how to easily recognize and detect when cats don't get along. Dr. Rodan will also provide client education on how to set up a home for cats, how to gradually introduce a new cat or cats, and the management of intercat conflict.

Presenter: Ilona Rodan, DVM, DABVP (Feline)

Dr. Ilona Rodan is the current owner of Cat Behavior Solutions and Feline Friendly Consulting. Feline Friendly Consulting provides consultations at veterinary practices, veterinary schools, and shelters to teach safe feline handling skills and provide input on how to improve the environment for feline patients. Dr. Rodan was owner of the Cat Care Clinic in Madison, WI, and continues to work there part-time as a behavior consultant and board certified feline specialist. She is the co-editor and author of the book, Feline Behavioral Health and Welfare, published in 2015. Dr. Rodan is active with (AAFP), as a current board member and past-president and co-chair of the Cat Friendly Practice program. She has co-chaired a number of guidelines developed by AAFP, including joint guidelines with AAHA and the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM). These include Feline Behavior Guidelines, AAHA/AAFP Pain Management Guidelines, AAFP/AAHA Feline Life Stage Guidelines, and the AAFP/ISFM Feline-Friendly Handling and Feline Environmental Needs Guidelines. She has lectured nationally and internationally. In 2005, she was awarded the AVMA Animal Welfare Award
