Governor Brown Signs AB 711, Requiring Hunters to Use Non-lead Ammunition

Veterinary professionals – including many HSVMA members – were instrumental in helping require the use of non-lead ammunition in hunting wildlife in California. The coalition has launched a campaign asking legislators to override the veto. The campaign includes a new television commercial from The Humane Society of the United States showing pigs in gestation crates that will run on TV stations across New Jersey.
