Meredith Rives, DVM

Dr. Meredith Rives is a small animal veterinarian based in Evanston, Ill. Shortly after graduation from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003, Dr. Rives completed a course in veterinary acupuncture at the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. She practices both conventional and holistic medicine in the Chicagoland area, and has maintained her own house call practice for 12 years.

Dr. Rives' dedication to animal welfare is demonstrated by her accomplishments, which include founding the Humane Education Program at the UW-SVM, serving on the board of the Association of Veterinarians for Animal Rights, and her current role as Chair of the Board of Animal Welfare for her municipality. Dr. Rives recently completed surgical training at the Humane Alliance in Asheville, N.C. and plans to use her professional skills at various local shelters and low cost veterinary clinics.
