RACHEL MOE, DVM
HSVMA TENNESSEE STATE REPRESENTATIVE

Hello! I am Rachel Moe and I have been practicing veterinary medicine since 2009 when I graduated magna cum laude from Auburn University. I went into general practice for twelve years after which I joined Lap of Love to practice end-of-life care. I have been enjoying this aspect of our profession for the last year and a half.

Veterinary medicine is not my first degree nor my first profession. I graduated from Millersville University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Occupational Safety and Health Management in 1992. I was in this field for ten years and was able to travel all over the country and the world. I have lived in many places, but I call beautiful Chattanooga, Tennessee my home now.

My house is shared with several shelter dogs and a very patient partner, Dale. I love how each one of our pets is unique, odd, sometimes rude, oftentimes silly, and every one of them is loving and deserving of a wonderful home.

General practice demanded too much of my time, leaving me with nothing left over. Now I’m in a position that allows me the time and energy to give back to my community, to my profession, and to the animals that I love so much.
